Taking Measures Against Guano

Isn’t it just annoying that your fine teak deck gets smothered in bird crap, or guano which I have learned is the correct name. Somehow, it seems the birds are watching you, right? It never fails. Every time I have cleaned the deck, birds – primarily gulls – are determined to leave a message on the boat. There must be a solution to this!

Googling will find you lots of different solutions available. For me, it is important that the solution is not hurting the bird nor the environment. Also, I will probably not consider solutions that send out high-frequency sounds, as that might annoy some people and likely their pets.

The products below has received good feedback and are of the ones I am going to test. I believe they are all easily fitted on the boat, and expect them to do the job when I am not aboard. I haven’t had a problem with birds while I am around the boat.
